Letter: No railway, no city of North Battleford

Perhaps there should be one Railway Avenue

Railways are an important part of Canada’s history. Should they, too, be erased?

Dear Editor

I write regarding the fact that North Battleford has three Railway Avenues, and the possibility they will be re-named.

Dare I remind people that had the railway not been built to run where it does there would have been no city of North Battleford?

The railways are also part of the history of Canada. Perhaps there should be one Railway Avenue.

Re-writing history, or forgetting history, happens all the time, for various reasons.
