Shouldn't North Battleford residents have a vote (with the water bill) to say whether or not we want rollout garbage bins?
The back alleys have been used for garbage pickup for the last 100 years.
The heavy garbage trucks are going to be wearing out our roads faster with more money from higher taxes to repair them.
A question that hasn't been answered is what happens to the beige bins we buy. Did we buy them and do we get a refund? Are we paying for different garbage trucks? How are seniors going to manage when it is icy and snowy?
The bins are going to be tipped over with garbage on the streets and who will clean that up? There is going to be lots more garbage in the alleys.
Most of us can't afford more fees. Most of us don't want the inconvenience of rollouts. Let the public works department at City Hall know how you feel. Let our voices be heard.
