The Western Development Museum's Those Were the Days annual summer festival was held once again Aug. 9 and 10.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the community members who came out to support us and were able to enjoy an excellent community event and learn a little bit more about Saskatchewan' s history. It was encouraging to see Mayor Ian Hamilton and MLA Herb Cox among our many visitors.
I would also like to thank all of our community organizations who continue to sponsor the museum and enable us to present this excellent event. Please support and thank these people when you are on their premises doing business with them.
Appreciated also are the local media who continue to support us throughout the years - newspaper, radio and other. And last but not least, thank you to all of the WDM volunteers who provide knowledge and expertise to enable us to offer the great event that we do.
I am proud to be a small part of presenting this experience to the community. Everyone involved should be proud of the opportunity we present for education, history and tourism. Thank you!
