PRINCE ALBERT — Members of the Prince Albert Police Service are investigating following a possible arson in Prince Albert’s Midtown area.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. on July 5, while on routine patrols, officers observed a black cloud of smoke that appeared to be coming from the midtown area of Prince Albert. Upon arrival, officers observed members of the Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD) on scene battling a fire at a playground in the 500 block of 9th Street East.
Members of the Prince Albert Fire Department were able to put out the fire shortly after.
Police are continuing to investigate in relation to this incident and are asking any homeowners or business owners in the surrounding area with video surveillance to check their cameras. Anyone with information or video surveillance relevant to this investigation is asked to contact police at 306-953-4222.
