LUCKY LAKE - An unplanned power outage for residents around the village of Lucky Lake will last until later this afternoon, with SaskPower estimating it will be until 4:00 pm.

The outage will affect approximately 35 SaskPower customers.

Power was shut off at around 11:00 am this morning, affecting customers located east of the community and close to Lake Diefenbaker.

SaskPower spokesperson Joel Cherry shared details of the outage earlier this week, noting that the five-hour timeframe is due to the fact that crews have to completely replace the pole and cross at the site. This is a job that is known to take longer than typical repairs.

Earlier this week, SaskPower cut power for approximately thirty minutes in the Eatonia and Glidden area, affecting over 800 customers.
