Celebrate Unity event virtual again

Milestone business anniversaries recognized, some numbering 70, 60 and 50 years.

UNITY — Celebrate Unity – the annual recognition of milestone business anniversaries, new businesses and community volunteers by the Unity and District Chamber of Commerce – will be a virtual event again this year.

Usually held the first Monday in March, planning coincided with the earliest days of the lifting of public health mandates, so it was decided to keep it virtual again this year.

Videos are currently in the creative process and anniversary videos will honour Unity Credit Union and North West Terminal. The credit union has served the community for 80 years. North West Terminal has grown steadily during its 25 years of operation. Both businesses are great supporters of the community and of many community organizations.

New businesses being recognized are Oak & Stone Realty/Hollie Robertson, Diamond Valley Reptiles/Curtis Ward, Ma & Me Bakery/Jennifer Belcher and Automotive Details by Colbey/Colbey Frocklage.

Watch for the videos on the new Unity Chamber of Commerce social media pages at Facebook and Instagram, and for a special feature on these businesses in the Press-Herald later this spring.

Although they declined to participate with a video, the chamber also wishes to congratulate Lonestar Auto Repair & Towing on the expansion of their business and opening of new premises, and Toni Lynn Bryan of Hometown Designs on her expansion and move to a physical retail location.

Other business anniversaries to make note of are: Mitchell Agencies – 70 years; Heitt’s Plumbing and Heating – 60 years; Sperle Tire & Battery – 50 years; Gilbert Agencies – 45 years; Realty Executives – 45 years; Randy Sander’s Accounting – 40 years; and Neigum Plumbing & Heating – 35 years.
