Only one year in business, Unity bakery owner is a finalist for ‘The Greatest Baker’

The contest is for amateur and professional confectionary creators from around the world.

UNITY — Jenn Belcher, owner/operator of Ma and Me Bakery, a business in Unity celebrating their one-year anniversary, has been named a quarter-finalist in The Greatest Baker contest. The winner will be featured in the Bake from Scratch magazine and take-home top prize of $10,000.

Belcher said in her run for the contest “What makes me a great baker is my love and passion for baking. I love creating and filling people’s hearts with home baked goodies.”

Belcher said her signature items include cream puffs, cheesecakes, specialty cakes and all flavours of doughnuts. She has been baking her whole life and says she loves to put a smile on people’s faces. She says her best baking secret is ensuring she gives her baking proper time, being patient, and to always measure the good stuff with her heart.

Customers have loved Jenn’s commitment to offering from-scratch fresh baking daily and the business has evolved adding dozens of new products on a regular basis. The bakery has attracted regulars and those who get to be surprised at all this small-town business offers. In her first year of business, Belcher’s bakery has been kept busy and she is thankful for the support.

The contest was for amateur and professional confectionary creators from around the world to compete online to win the top prize.

Voting resumes Dec. 5 at www.greatestbaker.com or Belcher includes the link on her company Facebook page.
