RCMP investigating complaint of harassing communications

The weekly RCMP report for the period Oct. 18-24 includes request to keep the peace while Animal Protection Services conducted a well-being check on an animal.

Unity Report

RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members are investigating a complaint of harassing communications.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

A 41-year-old man from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.

Police received a complaint of individuals throwing garbage on the streets and trespassing in residents’ yards. Members spoke to the subjects of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

There were also three false 911 calls, four traffic complaints, two false alarms and one noise complaint.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of theft of electrical service. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members attended but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

RCMP received a report of a lost wallet. The wallet was located by the owner.

There were also three traffic complaints.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment. A 42-year-old mam from Macklin was charged with possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of careless storage of a firearm after members located firearms in the residence.

Police received a report of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
