Senlac youth activities adds to small town charm

The latest news from the Village of Senlac and the activites the community still has to offer.

SENLAC -- The Senlac arena has been a busy place again this year. The Senlac Jr. Sabres played a tournament in Neilburg and had lots of fun Feb 24 and 25. They have one more weekend of games coming up in Senlac before the season comes to an end, starting March 2.

The Senlac arena was able to upgrade all the lighting in the lobby this year due to a donation from CNRL, who covered the whole cost of it. Our little community appreciated this donation.

The Senlac Multiple 4-H Club started up again for another year. This year there are 23 members in three different projects, including archery, crafts and beef. Members have been getting ready and working hard on their speeches for public speaking, which will be held early March. The annual cake bingo is also being planned to be held at the Senlac Hall. The club would like to remind those who will be attending to bring cash, as there is no ATM or debit machine. The achievement day is scheduled for May 25 in Senlac, so stay tuned for more information.

A potluck supper was held at the Senlac Community Hall on Feb. 25. Twenty-five people were in attendance and a silver collection was taken to go towards the hall rent and door prizes. The next potluck supper will be March 25.
