The Muskeg fire, north of La Plonge Reserve and Beauval, is the only remaining fire currently not contained, according to SPSA. SPSA says crews continue to fight the fire and target hot spots.
SPSA is reporting that as of 10 a.m. on Aug. 22, there are 48 active wildfires in Saskatchewan. Of those 13 are categorized as contained, one not contained, 26 ongoing assessments and eight listed as protecting values.
There are currently no evacuated communities in the province, and all highway access is open, thanks to improved weather conditions in the province.
