Bert William Moore, of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2025 surrounded by family after battling cancer for the past several months.

Bert was born on the family homestead near Norquay, Saskatchewan on May 18, 1932. Bert was the eldest son of William and Alice (Hanchar) Moore, and older brother to Glennis King, Don and Wayne Moore. As the eldest son, Bert continued on the farm, helping his father. He spent the winters in Winnipeg, working a number of different jobs. He met his wife, Mary and after a brief courtship, they were married on October 6, 1962. They were blessed with three children.
Bert and Mary spent 5 ½ years in Calgary, where Bert worked with his brother, Don, before returning to the homestead in 1973. In 1975, they sold the homestead and moved to Veregin, Saskatchewan and remained there until 1986. After that, Bert worked in a number of places including Kenora, Lorette, and Niverville before retiring in 1997. They settled in Roseau River for their retirement and spent 18 years enjoying birdwatching in their yard, many trips with friends and camping together. They moved to Steinbach in 2015. Bert was well known for his sense of humour and his love for God, which was so evident in how he loved and served others.

Bert is survived by his wife, Mary, son Robert (Eunice), Sharon (Rod), and Glenda (Brent), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and his three siblings, Glennis, Don (Fern) and Wayne (Pat) and numerous nephews and nieces.
