Shirley Anne Diamond passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK with family at her side.

Born December 11, 1931, in Olds, AB, Shirley moved with her family to Burnaby, BC as a teen and settled in Chilliwack, BC for many decades where she was an elementary school teacher. She met Jack Diamond there and enjoyed over 63 years of marriage. In 1983, Shirley actively partnered to support Jack’s pastoral work at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, Briercrest College and Penticton Alliance Church. They moved back to Abbotsford to retire in 1999. Shirley moved to Moose Jaw from Abbotsford, BC in January 2023 to be close to her daughter, enjoying life at The Bentley and the past few months at Chateau St. Michael’s.

Shirley is predeceased by parents Neal and S. Rebecca (Becky) Grant; siblings Ralph, Bruce and Eileen; husband John (Jack) Frederick Diamond. She is survived by children Neal (Margaret) Diamond, Lori (Stan) Peters; Grandchildren: Danielle (Steve) Fast, Christopher (Mallory) Diamond, Joshua (Mathea) Diamond, Jillian (Gradyn) Childerhose, Chelsea (Jesse) Miller, Megan (Tanner) Ryerson; eight great-grandchildren: Simon, Wyatt, Cru, Josie, Asher, Levi, Phoebe and Kip; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family interment at the IOOF Cemetery in Chilliwack, BC will be followed by a small celebration of her life for family & close friends from 2-4pm, Fri., Sept. 19 at Garden Park Tower (Azalea Rm), 2825 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford, BC.
