Double medal alert for Team Sask at 2022 Canada Summer Games

SASKATOON - A double medal alert for Team Sask happened in the 5000m Female race this morning at 10:15am. The event took place at the newly built Canada Games Park, where Team Sask won gold and silver. Jasmine Fehr finished first with teammate Jenna McFadyen behind her for second.

  • Jasmine Fehr (22) from Saskatoon. Fehr is a part of the Saskatoon Track and Field Club. She represented Team Sask and competed in the Canada Summer Games in 2017. She received a full scholarship to the University of Portland (2017-2021) and University of Tennessee (2021-2023).
  • Jenna McFadyen (19) from Waseca previously won a bronze medal for Team Sask in the women’s 3000m steeplechase event that took place at Canada Games Park on Wednesday, August 17! Jenna is also apart of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

Pepper Howe, Lauren Matai, Megan, and Shelby Lane win a silver medal in the quadruple sculls female team race that took place at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course. Their race took place today at 11:10am EST.

  • Pepper Howe (20) from Saskatoon. Howe just won a bronze medal in the Single Scull Female event earlier in the day and rows on the Saskatoon Rowing Club.  
  • Lauren Matai (19) from Saskatoon. Matai rows on the Saskatoon Rowing Club. She has participated in the Western Canada Summer Games in 2019 and the Canada Summer Games in 2017, representing Team Sask! Later in the day, Matai almost won back-to-back medals in the Lightweight Double Sculls Female event but received forth.
  • Megan Kish (17) from Saskatoon. Kish rows on the Saskatoon Rowing Club.
  • Shelby Lane (20) from Lloydminster, SK. Lane rows on the Saskatoon Rowing Club. She has also competed in the 2017 and 2018 Canada Cup for Softball.
