REGINA – One person is charged following a serious assault that took place in the early morning hours on Aug. 28 in the 1900 Block of Lorne Street.
Officers were initially called to the Regina General Hospital, at approximately 2 a.m. yesterday, for a report of an adult male who had arrived suffering from what appeared to be serious, life-threatening injuries.
The investigation began and led officers to a location in the 1900 block of Lorne Street. Witnesses told police an altercation took place in that area, leading to the male being injured.
As a result of initial investigation, 22-year-old Tyler Drugu is charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
Drugu made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court Aug. 29.
