Regina man faces 28 charges in east side shoplifting spree

The shoplifting incidents took place at four different businesses on 10 different occasions.

REGINA – A 31-year-old male is facing 28 charges following multiple shoplifting occurrences at businesses in the city’s east end.

The shoplifting incidents took place at four different businesses on 10 different occasions between July 9  and Aug. 12. Two of the businesses are located in the 2100 block of Prince of Wales Drive. Two are located in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive.

In one case, the suspect threatened a loss prevention officer with a knife and in a second instance, the suspect threatened three loss prevention officers with bear spray.

As a result of these investigations, 31-year-old Nathan Fox is charged with robbery, three counts of assault with a weapon, 11 counts of theft under $5,000, and 13 counts of failing to comply.

Fox made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on Aug. 15.
