Cash and cigarettes stolen in Saskatoon robbery

Video footage has allowed police to issue a colourful description of the suspects.

SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service is asking the public to contact them if they know anything about a robbery that occurred early Friday morning.

On Aug. 8, at around 2:30 a.m., responded to the 200 block of Kensington Boulevard for the report of a robbery, with the suspects having recently fled the scene. Officers searched the immediate area but were not able to locate the suspects, described as two men who had entered the business with black handguns and had stolen cash and cigarettes.

Officers were able to review video footage at the scene and describe the suspects as approximately 6' tall and black, wearing black face masks. One suspect was wearing a red hooded sweater with light pants and white shoes, while the other was wearing a black hooded sweater, black jeans with rips in the front, blue gloves, and black shoes with yellow laces.
