Farmers are going to face an unsettled fall in terms of marketing their grain.

After a very long and boring sermon the parishioners filed out of the church saying nothing to the preacher. Towards the end of the line was a thoughtful person who always commented on the sermons.

This week I had the privilege of giving a workshop to a group representing businesses and non-profit organizations.

The Kisbey Volunteer Fire Department had an opportunity to use a building in the southwest of town for practice. Brody Singleton owner of the lot, who wanted the building demolished, offered it to the Volunteer Fire Department.

Monday April 16, 2012, marked the second day of karate instruction in Kisbey. A weekly event now held on Mondays at the Kisbey Recreational Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thirty-three people signed up to partake with great interest.

Nicklas Lidstrom is in an unfamiliar position, on two fronts. For one, the 42-year-old Swede saw his hockey season come to an end in April, an oddity because his season usually doesn't end until at least May - and often June.

I have recently had to remodel my eating habits. After moving to Saskatchewan, a province who takes pride in their beef being a vegetarian has given me a few road blocks. I was not always a vegetarian. I grew up in a meat eating family.

It was a short three years ago that Enterprise Saskatchewan mandated the formation of regional economic development regions throughout Saskatchewan.

On April 21, 2012, the Wawota Wildlife Federation awards and supper was held at Kennedy Hall, since the one in Wawota is being renovated.

The audience was treated to a delightful dinner in the Memorial Hall dining area this past Friday evening. The tables were beautifully decorated with spring flowerpots on each table, as well as interesting candle and marble centerpieces.
