Estevan police execute search warrant Thursday related to drug trafficking

The investigation is ongoing and police will be observed at the scene until completion of the search of the property.

ESTEVAN - An investigation is ongoing after members of the Estevan Police Service executed a search warrant Thursday morning in the Energy City.

According to a news release from the EPS, members of the EPS and Weyburn Police Service's Joint Tactical Support Team (JTST), along with EPS patrol division officers, executed the search warrant at a residence in the 700-block of George Street. 

The EPS said the search warrant was judicially authorized in relation to a drug trafficking investigation being conducted by the Drug Intelligence Unit and Criminal Investigation Unit. No information was released as far as arrests or charges. 

Police will be observed at the scene until the search of the property is complete. 

The EPS says there is no risk to the public, and additional information will be released when available and appropriate.
