The Wheatland Senior Centre in Weyburn offers a variety of games and activities to residents every week, including trump whist, spades, canasta and cribbage.

WEYBURN - A full schedule of games and activities were held at Weyburn’s Wheatland Seniors Centre, with the following results from April 25-29.

Trump whist: 1. Myrna Oxelgren and Marg Schultz; 2. Chris Herlick and Phyllis Lindskog; 3. Marge Marcotte and Dorothy Lindskog.

Spades: 1. Theresa Istace; 2. Terry Bendickson; 3. Ray Boucher; 4. Erskine Sandiford; 5. Basil Holyer.

Canasta: 1. Ileen Yates; 2. Evaline Porte; 3. Jerry Thompson; 4. Arvella Soroka; 5. Marlene Szczecinski. Kaiser: 1. Marie Marcotte and Eva Morley; 2. Fran Franks and Melba Bent; 3. Alice Schneider and Lavine Stepp; 4. Tom Schutz and Basil Holyer.

Thursday crib: 1. Joan Harder and Garth White; 2. Shirley Sparks and Rose Levesque; 3. Laura Pattyson and Marg Schultz.

Military whist: 1. Myrna Oxelgren, Betty Knibbs, Marg Monteyne and Jean Knibbs; 2. Rose Levesque, Marie Marcotte, Dorothy Lindskog and Marg Leavens; 3. Meta Murray, Gerry Thompson, Emily Stadler and Mildred Sandiford.

Bingo is held every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Wheatland centre, with slider cards available for 50 cents each.

The next month-end supper will be on May 27. Phone the centre at 306-842-3503 to put your name on the list, or come in and write your name down. The deadline is Wednesday, May 25 before noon.

The next casino bus will be on Monday, June 6, and the deadline to register is Tuesday, May 31. The price to ride on the bus is $24 for members, or $27 for non-members.
