Maryfield Sunrise Villa happenings

Bingo, music and an Easter Bunny visit were popular activities for residents, who had to spend time indoors due to snow

MARYFIELD - April 12 and 14 we had card Bingo with Dawn. It was fun to play again and I even won a few nickels.

April 13 we saw the start of a blizzard they predicted and it gave us a few feet of snow. I was glad I only had to look out the window. My thoughts were with the many fighting bad roads and to the farmers with calves. I guess we have to look at it as moisture and hope it melts where it is needed most and not in anyone's basement.  We won't be going out to sit in the chairs in our courtyard any time soon.

Between the snow and swirling wind, we have several feet of snow in our courtyard, nearly up to the windows. Many of us are watching the curling and are proud of our Canadian girls, including Maryfield’s Val Sweeting, to do so well.

Judy had a singalong one day and a few play cards most evenings so the days go by.

The Easter Bunny stopped in and we were treated to Easter treats and good meals from our cooks. A few of us were able to go out to family and friends.

We're still missing a couple of our residents but hope they will be back soon. It's time to have a cup of tea and sit in the sunshine.

Until next time.
