The Sask. Senior Fitness Association (SSFA), Southeast Connection District Committee, is providing an opportunity for individuals to express their thoughts in a short story and/or poetry in the District competition.

Laura O’Hanlon’s introduction to sign language came at an early age. There was a classroom for deaf children next to O’Hanlon’s Kindergarten class, and she befriended one of the children in the classroom. The friend taught O’Hanlon some basic signs.

Agriculture history was on display in Midale on Saturday and Sunday for the Souris Valley Antique Association’s annual Pioneer Echoes Weekend.

Weyburn – Dempsey Laird was honoured on June 3 as one of two Southeast Saskatchewan Oilmen of the Year. The award was presented at the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show in Weyburn. Ray Frehlick made the presentation.
