ESTEVAN - The Estevan Salvation Army has received a significant donation to its annual back to school backpack program.

Green for Life (GFL) Environmental has provided $8,000 through its Full Circle Project, which allows the local GFL branches to give back to the communities they live and work in.

GFL says it’s always been a vital part of its mission to take care of the communities they serve and give back to them any way they can. They approached the Estevan Salvation Army this spring and asked where they could best use the company’s help through Full Circle.

When the ministry started explaining the backpack program, they knew that was a perfect fit for GFL Environmental.

GFL is excited to be part of this program to help with students’ education in the area, not only by providing a monetary donation of $8,00 to cover the cost of supplies, but also with staff assisting in packing and distributing the backpacks.
