Car show featured at Weyburn’s Midtown Care Home

A show-and-shine was held for the residents of the Midtown Care Home on Saturday.

WEYBURN – Saturday was an exciting day for the residents of Midtown Care Home in Weyburn, as they checked out a car show.

Midtown Care Home hosted its first car show and has partnered with Weyburn and area car collectors to host further events.

Car collectors from Weyburn and area as well as Regina came out to show off their vintage and classic vehicles. The residents of Midtown Care Home watched, checked them out and asked lots of questions. It was like walking back in time and was so familiar to many.

Mayor Marcel Roy’s truck was at the show and the mayor visited and said hello to all, talking with many car collectors and sharing his experiences.

“Partnering with community based organizations is ideally a collaborative approach that equally involves all partners in a process and recognizes the unique strengths that each brings,” said operations manager Deb Tokarz.

Midtown Care Home is looking forward to future events with the car collectors as well as other partners.
