Carlyle RCMP releases description of suspect in Redvers sexual assault

The Carlyle RCMP continues to investigate a recent sexual assault in Revers.

REDVERS - The Carlyle RCMP is continuing to investigate a sexual assault that occurred at the recreation centre in Redvers on the weekend.

Investigation has determined the sexual assault took place the afternoon of June 12. 

The suspect is an adult male who is described as having short-to-medium length grey hair and was wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans and boots. The RCMP says he may have a bite mark, wound or bruise on his hand.

“It's important for us to notify the community of Redvers and surrounding areas about this incident, even in the investigation’s initial stages, due to the serious nature of the report,” said Sgt. Dallyn Holmstrom, Carlyle RCMP detachment commander, in a previous news release, “The intent of our message is not to cause alarm, but to inform the public so they can take any safety measures and speak with their families about this sensitive and serious subject, as they deem appropriate.”
