Cornerstone adds Pre-K programs in Arcola and Oxbow

South East Cornerstone School Division (SECSD) has announced the establishment of a Pre-Kindergarten program in Arcola School and Oxbow Prairie Horizons School.

South East Cornerstone School Division (SECSD) has announced the establishment of a Pre-Kindergarten program in Arcola School and Oxbow Prairie Horizons School.

The establishment of these two new sites was made possible by funding allocations targeted to expand Pre-Kindergarten programs in the 2011-12 Saskatchewan provincial budget. Pre-K is an early learning program supporting three and four-year-old children and their families.

"The expansion of our Pre-Kindergarten program is very exciting news," said curriculum co-ordinator Susan Nedelcov-Anderson. "Early learning is one of SECSD's priority areas, and two additional Pre-Kindergarten sites will allow us to further support our children and their families."

These two sites join other SECSD Pre-K programs located at Haig School in Weyburn, Westview School in Estevan, Carlyle Elementary School and MacLeod Elementary School in Moosomin. This program will begin in Arcola and Oxbow in the fall.
