ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service were called about an assault on Friday.

A 21-year-old Estevan man was arrested and charged with assault following a domestic disturbance at a residence in south central Estevan. He was lodged in cells pending his release later in the day.

His first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court is yet to be determined.

Police received a call from an agitated citizen who was reporting traffic offences. One of the issues the complainant was reporting was individuals failing to clear snow from their licence plates.

The police would like to remind the public that it is an offence under the Traffic Safety Act to have an obscured licence plate.

Police received a criminal harassment report on Sunday. The complainant was interviewed and the matter is still under investigation.

Officers spoke to two parties in the middle of a separation regarding matrimonial property from the residence. Both parties were advised of the possible consequences and the options available to seek a remedy for the situation.
