Estevan Minor Football is close to winning a large cash prize to fix their football field and a spot on a live sports broadcast, but they need a little help from surrounding communities.
The Estevan Minor Football (EMF) field sustained severe damage during the recent flooding in southeast Saskatchewan and the organization is asking for help from surrounding communities to repair the damage.
One of the executive members of EMF submitted an essay to TSN's Kraft Celebration Tour competition in hopes of winning one of the 10 spots to be featured live on TSN Sports Centre this summer and $25,000 towards their field and program.
Estevan was chosen as one of the top 20 finalists, going up against Swan River, Manitoba.
Participants can vote online for their favourite project at www.kraftcelebrationtour.ca from 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20.
