Estevan Police called about mischief incidents

The Estevan Police Service handled calls for mischief and intoxicated individuals to start the weekend.

ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service handled a number of different calls during the first two days of the weekend.

Police received a report of mischief to property at a local lounge on Friday night. Members attended and spoke to an Estevan female who had broken a mirror in the bathroom. The female was injured from breaking the mirror and was transported to the hospital by a friend. The matter is still under investigation.

Officers received a second report of mischief to property at the Fresh Air Fitness site in Woodlawn Regional Park, as a number of individuals were witnessed causing issues. Police attended and the suspects were already gone. The matter will be followed up by the Estevan detachment of the RCMP.

Police received a driving complaint Saturday in relation to an individual driving around with a child in his lap. Police attempted to locate the vehicle but met with no success.

Members received a request to assist in locating an individual. The person was intoxicated at a social and walking home. The family member was concerned the individual may have trouble getting home due to the level of intoxication. The individual was located and transported home and turned over to family.

Police received a complaint in relation to an individual passed out on the street in downtown Estevan. Police attended and located a male who was extremely intoxicated. Estevan EMS was called to the scene to assess the male. He was transported to the hospital for observation.
