Estevan RCMP seeking public’s assistance with recent thefts

The RCMP is asking for assistance in solving a couple of thefts in southeast Saskatchewan.

ESTEVAN - The Estevan RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance with a couple of recent thefts.

Sometime between Jan. 13 and 16, unknown culprits entered a rural farm yard in the RM of Benson and forced entry into a Quonset in the yard. Once inside they proceeded to steal items that include a Mig welder, a plasma cutter, cutting torch and tanks, and other various tools.

Also, in the early morning hours of Jan. 18, a residence on Second Street South in Lampman was broken into. The culprit(s) entered through the garage and gained entry to the home. Personal valuables were taken from the residence as well as household goods and some firearms.

The Estevan RCMP would like to remind the public of the importance of reporting strange / suspicious behaviours as well as having deterrents in place such as extra lighting, alarms, deadbolts, locks, etc., that could be used to ensure your property is not easily accessible or an easy target for thieves.
