Here are scenes from Friday night at the Queen City Ex. Police are reporting few incidents during the event Aug. 3 to 7.

REGINA — Regina Police Service is reporting there were few incidents requiring their attention during the Queen City Ex.

The Ex wrapped up its five days Sunday, Aug. 7. Regina Police Service reported they had a presence at the Ex in conjunction with REAL District Security.

Police say in a media release that their members dealt with three assaults, a couple of consensual fights with no injuries and a handful of intoxicated persons and people ejected for disorderly behavior. There were also incidents of people who tried to bring in prohibited items.

The most notable incident was a bear spray incident near the ferris wheel Sunday that affected about 40 individuals. This is still under investigation. Regina Police Service asks that anyone with information call 306-777-6500 or contact Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

So far, no criminal charges have been laid but some active investigations do continue.

Police also are pointing out that the REAL District is a City of Regina property operated by the Regina Exhibition Association Limited. They note REAL sets the rules as operator regarding what visitors can bring onto the grounds and how they should behave, and that disorderly conduct including intoxication can get you ejected from the grounds. All criminal matters are dealt with by the Regina Police Service working in conjunction with REAL District Security.
