Fire Chiefs conference in Weyburn

Firefighters from across the province will be in Weyburn for the 61st annual Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs Conference and Trade Show, held April 14 to 16. This event is being hosted by the Weyburn Fire Department and the City of Weyburn.

Firefighters from across the province will be in Weyburn for the 61st annual Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs Conference and Trade Show, held April 14 to 16. This event is being hosted by the Weyburn Fire Department and the City of Weyburn.

This year, delegates will be treated to several presenters. Some of the highlights will include Frank Ricci's presentation on Tactical Leadership. Ricci was last years' keynote speaker at the World's Largest Fire Expo in FDIC.Saskatchewan's own Jeremy O'day will wrap Friday up with a presentation on Leadership in Teamwork. On the companion side, attendees will see for the first time Dr. Ellen Kirschamn, an award winning author who will be here to deliver a power presentation, "I Love a Fire Fighter: What the Family Needs to know."

The presentations continue into Saturday with Sean Tracy, Sask Energy, Bill and Barb Johnston, and to wrap the conference up, Ed Kirtley will speak on Success with Local Politics.

The theme for the conference will be "Reigniting Pride and Traditions."
