The Weyburn Independent Riders will hold their annual Toy Parade on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The Riders hold the annual Toy Run to collect toys for the Salvation Army's Christmas Fund, and invite anyone in the public who rides a motorcycle to bring an unwrapped toy and join them.

The ride will gather initially in the parking lot of the Weyburn Junior High on Fifth Street, and will leave from there at 1 p.m.

The route will take the riders around a good portion of the city, and will end by going down the length of Third Street from the courthouse south through the downtown, and will cross the river and end at River Park.

The Independent Riders will also hold an event on Sunday, Aug. 21, in a challenge with Estevan, to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House with a ride that ends in Stoughton. The details of the ride have not been finalized, including the time and the route to be used.

For more information about joining either ride (or both), contact Laurie Norman, Maurence Pierce or Russ Moe.
