One new COVID-19 case, one new recovery in Estevan’s South East Zone 4

One new COVID-19 case and one more recovery in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan.

There is one new case of COVID-19, but also one more recovery, in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s COVID-19 dashboard for Aug. 4.

There are now six active cases in Zone 4.

There was also a recovery in Zone 4 on Aug. 3.  

As for the rest of the South East region, there are six new cases to report. Three are in South East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4, and two are in Zone 1, which is northwest of Zone 4.

Four more people in the South East have recovered, including the one in Zone 4, and there are 35 active cases. Twenty-four of the active cases are in Zone 2.

One person is in hospital in the South East and is receiving inpatient care.

Forty-nine tests were process in the region on Aug. 3.

Another 49 doses of vaccine have been administered in the South East.

There are 60 new cases to report in Saskatchewan, 26 recoveries and 56 people are in hospital. One person in the north central region has died; a total of 579 people with COVID-19 have died in Saskatchewan.

There were 1,377 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Aug. 3.

Another 1,057 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered across the province.
