ESTEVAN - One person is facing multiple charges after illegally taking a vehicle.

The Estevan Police Service received a report Oct. 16 of a vehicle that was taken from a residence in south central Estevan. The vehicle and driver were found nearby, resulting in a 35-year-old Estevan man being arrested and charged for taking a vehicle without consent and driving while suspended. He also had an outstanding warrant.

He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Nov. 29.

On two separate occasions during the early evening of Oct. 13, police along with Estevan Emergency Medical Services attended to a central Estevan residence in relation to 911 calls made by a severely intoxicated 41-year-old Estevan woman, who did not have issues that warranted an EMS response.

She was arrested and transported to the police station, where she was lodged in cells for breaching the conditions of her release order as well as for her severely intoxicated state.

She was to appear in court the following morning.
