Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of November 29 to December 5:

*On December 5, police responded to a complaint of a volunteer at a local hall being assaulted. A 31-year-old Weyburn area male was arrested and is facing a charge of assault. The volunteer received minor injuries.

*Police were called to a local bar regarding a complaint of an assault. The involved parties were gone prior to police arrival.

*Police responded to a 911 call regarding a male individual behaving erratically. A 26-year-old Weyburn male was arrested after a physical confrontation with police officers, during which one officer received minor injuries. The male appeared to be suffering from a severe drug induced state and was held in cells to prevent any further incidents.

*On December 3, police responded to a complaint of a domestic assault. This matter is still under investigation.

*On December 2, police received a complaint of a credit card fraud.This matter is still under investigation.

*On December 1, police responded to a domestic dispute.The matter was resolved by mediation.

*Police received a report of a possible credit card fraud/identity theft. Police are warning residents to be vigilant when giving out any type of personal information over the telephone.

*As a result of the large quantity of snow that has fallen on Weyburn, police are warning residents that the 48-hour parking limit is being strictly enforced to allow for efficient clearing of the streets by the City. Police said that many parking tickets have been issued over the past week.

*The Weyburn Police Service responded to and investigated 88 incidents during this reporting period.
