One of the greatest events in Manor is coming back again this year.

Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is planning to return this summer as part of Manor Fun Daze on July 24.

Professional Bull Riders is an international organization focused on bull riding competitions and is featured on television as well as hosted in multiple countries, including Australia, Brazil, the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The competition includes PBR touring pro bull riders and junior bull riding.

PBR in Manor will be held at the Manor Fairgrounds. The beer gardens will be open at 4 p.m. and a barbecue roast beef supper will also take place at that time. The bull riding itself will then start at 6:30 p.m.

There will be a high-definition video replay screen which will offer replays of the bull riding and will acknowledge the various sponsors of the event.

Ward Cutler and Robert Schmidt will be the commentators and announcers for the show.

Andy Robertson, one of the organizers of the Manor event, explained that this competition is an important event for the community.

“The past 13 PBR performances held at Manor have been a highlight for local people and a lot of newcomers to the community. We are proud to keep improving our show and look forward to the many improvements this year. All in attendance will see why they call PBR the ‘Toughest show on Dirt.’”

The bull riding event is deeply engrained in the community of Manor, as it is supported by businesses and through the crowds that come to watch.

Robertson explained how this event is supported through community efforts.

“Our show is made possible by the financial support of great friends in the business community whom we are pleased to acknowledge throughout our event.”

Due to COVID-19 regulations last year, the PBR event was unfortunately cancelled. However, the PBR event is back, and is well on its way to being a highlight for Manor and the surrounding community once again. Be sure to follow the Manor Fun Daze PBR Facebook page for more updates and information.
