The Town of Radville declared a state of emergency due to flooding on April 12.

Water levels have begun rising around the town due to fast melting snow and ice. Volunteers worked hard to keep the water level down and away from the areas that are in jeopardy, such as the lift station, the area behind Nelson Motors and houses in the vicinity.

Schools and businesses were running as usual at the time of printing. Residents were advised that an emergency boil water advisory was in effect.

Radville Mayor Shirley Cancade said that water is readily available but they are asking residents to ration water and not stockpile water as this will put a burden on their system.

"I want to thank everyone for their cooperation and patience during this time," said Cancade.

Cancade said that the town is not in immediate need of assistance but if anyone is willing to volunteer they can call (306) 869-2477.
