Individuals, families and neighbours who have been affected by flooding in Weyburn and the surrounding area are encouraged to visit the Red Cross Recovery Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to meet in confidence with a Red Cross case worker who will assess recovery needs and available resources, including referrals to other community partners.

Located in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, the Recovery Centre will open Tuesday, July 19. Hours of operation are Sunday to Wednesday from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

The recovery assistance provided by Red Cross may include housing, food, transportation, household repair and clean-up materials, and occupational needs, as well as the replacement of essential personal items. Individuals and families living in flood affected rental accommodations may also be eligible for assistance, and are encouraged to contact Red Cross.

Visit the Red Cross Recovery Centre, or call the toll free provincial Recovery Assistance and Information Line: 1-888-953-3463. Those affected can leave a message 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Appointments with a Recovery Case Worker can be scheduled. All calls remain confidential, and will be returned by a Red Cross worker.
