Regina police have arrested one adult male in connection with Wednesday's hit-and-run incident that involved three victims.

REGINA — After investigation into a vehicle accident with multiple witnesses earlier this week, Regina police have arrested one individual on several charges of attempted murder.

On Sept. 29 at approximately 11:45 a.m., police attended a scene at the intersection of Victoria and Arcola avenue involving an individual struck by a vehicle.

Witnesses told police that a driver stopped at the intersection, and was then struck by another vehicle from behind. When the driver got out of his vehicle after the collision, he was then hit by a stolen vehicle.

Several witnesses in surrounding vehicles stopped to assist the victim, exiting their vehicles.

“The suspect then struck the original victim and two witnesses who were assisting the injured male. The vehicle then fled the scene,” said a statement from the Regina Police Service.

Police said the first victim of the incident is in hospital in critical condition, and the other two victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.

After investigation, police located and arrested Larz Okeeweehow, 20, of Regina in connection with the incident.

Okeeweehow has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, and one count each of dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft of motor vehicle, failure to comply with release order and failure to comply with probation order.

He made his first appearance in provincial court on Thursday afternoon.
