After all the hardship the region has endured in recent months, Estevan and the surrounding area will party with TSN's Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole.

Supporters rejoiced on Thursday when the Estevan football family was announced as one of 10 winners across the country for this year's Kraft Celebration Tour.

Estevan defeated Swan River, Man., in a 24-hour online voting period that ended Thursday morning.

The winner was revealed on SportsCentre, TSN's flagship news program, that afternoon.

The city will host a SportsCentre broadcast hosted by Onrait and O'Toole on Aug. 25 at 4 p.m.

The other part of the prize sees Estevan Minor Football and the ECS Elecs receive $25,000 from Kraft Canada.

The original plan was to use most of that money to help finish the Elecs' locker room, but a large chunk will now be spent on getting EMF's facilities at Woodlawn up and going again.

It has yet to be determined exactly how the money will be divvied up.

"The money is great. We can't say enough about that. But I really think this thing that's going to happen on Aug. 25 is going to be a big community celebration," said Wanda Harron, who submitted the Estevan entry.

"It'll be good for the whole southeast area of Saskatchewan and I really hope a lot of people come to Estevan for it."
