A former trustee and chair of the Weyburn Public Library and Southeast Regional Library, Isabelle Butters, will be remembered with a dedication of a bench in front of the Weyburn branch.
A dedication will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m., and cake and coffee will be served.
Butters made many contributions to the library as well as to the City of Weyburn, as a former mayor, as well as to the province and country.
She served on the Weyburn Public Library board, the Southeast Regional Library board, and received an honourary life membership award from the Saskatchewan Library Trustees’ Association, and many other honours in her lifetime, including the Order of Canada. She passed away in 2019.
