Residents are reminded not to make their home an attractive target for a break and enter. Some tips to remember; lock all of your doors including garage doors. Leave inside and outside lights on, use security lights if you have them. Make it look like someone is home, have a radio playing. If you are away for an extended period of time make sure you have a key holder check your home on a regular basis.

Make sure your home mailbox is cleaned out and your driveway and walks are kept clear. Home security alarms are also an option. If neighbours see something that doesn't look right, such as suspicious vehicles or people in the area, please call police.

Do not advertise on social media that you will be away. These and other suggestions just might help keep your home safe.
