WEYBURN – Weyburn police are searching for a suspect who attempted an armed robbery of a person on the street, and ask for the public’s assistance.

A person was approached by a suspect who brandished a weapon and demanded property on Thursday, July 29, at approximately 11:45 p.m., while walking on Fourth Street NE in Weyburn. The victim was assaulted, but was able to flee without injury.

The suspect was last observed on foot southbound on Fourth Street NE. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 5'8" with a slim build, in his early 20's.

The suspect was wearing a black sweater or a hoodie), a black hat and dark jeans.
