ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Golden Eels Swim Club are getting ready for the upcoming provincial meet.
Provincials will be on Saturday in Weyburn. Many Eels will be taking part in the competition.
The Eels have won the last five provincial titles, from 2015-2019.
The Eels’ most recent meet was the south semifinal. The Swift Current Sting Rays served as the host club, but the competition was held in Moose Jaw.
Overall age group medal winners for the meet were Charlie Pyra, gold, seven and eight girls; Isabelle Pyra, gold, nine and 10 girls; Jordyn Tarnes, gold, 13-14 girls; Tristan Threinen, gold, 15-17 boys; and Ethan Elliot, bronze, 15-17 boys.
Numerous other Eels had top-three results during the weekend.
The Eels finished with 338 points on the day, while the Regina Pirhanas were first with 494 points.
