Estevan U13 A Bruins second at tournament

The Estevan U13 A Bruins reached the A final of a tournament in Moose Jaw.

ESTEVAN - During the Christmas break, the Estevan U13 A Bruins went to a hockey tournament in Moose Jaw. 

Estevan opened with a 4-2 victory over the Regina Blues on Dec. 28. The following day, they lost 9-1 to the Battlefords Barons, but recovered to edge Moose Jaw Red 5-4.

The Bruins finished second in their pool with a 2-1 record, and advanced to the semifinal on Dec. 30, which they won 5-4 in overtime against the Yorkton Terriers.

Estevan lost 4-1 to the Barons in the A final.

This team is comprised of players from each of the four U13 house teams, and the Moose Jaw tournament was their first time together this season.

This team is also going to enter provincials in January.
