“Jayden had and outstanding rookie season for the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers golf team,” the Rattlers posted on their Facebook page.

Competing in his first ACAC golf championship, Jayden finished the individual men’s tournament in first place with a 3-under-par score of 213 over three rounds. After shooting an opening round 74, Jayden has a 3-under score of 69 in round 2 followed by a 2-under score of 70 in the third round.

Dudas grabbed the tournament lead in the second round and wound up finishing three strokes ahead of teammate Colby Friedrich. Along with his teammates, Dudas also finished first in the ACAC Men’s Team Championship and first in the ACAC Mixed Team Championship.

“We are very happy Jayden chose MHC and the Rattlers to continue his competitive golf career,” said Terry Ballard, MHC manager of sport and wellness. “We are very pleased with his performance as both rookie of the year and player of the year and we are excited to see how he does at nationals.”

Dudas is a first-year power engineering student at MHC from Estevan who attended the Estevan Comprehensive School, where he won provincial championships. He was also a big part of the junior golf program at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course, competing in numerous tournaments.
