South Corner Racing Circuit holds final race of the season in Carlyle

CARLYLE - The South Corner Racing Circuit (SCRC) recently held the second of two programs in Carlyle. 

On Sept. 18, the Bowan Rekken Memorial Motocross Track hosted the last race of the seven-race series. Riders were at the track as early as the day before in their campers and could be seen practicing from 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The SCRC racing circuit is focused on providing a family friendly race series that promotes sportsmanship and fun where racers can grow. Racers of all skill levels are given the change to share in their passion and love of motocross and dirt bikes.

The races are held at the Estevan, Weyburn, Alameda, Assiniboia and Carlyle motocross tracks. 

The 2021 summer season has been a talent-filled one, divided among 11 classes with fierce competition within each class. Even for people who don’t consider themselves sports lovers, these races may surprise you to see the dedication and love from racers aged five to 70 years old.
