ESTEVAN - Several athletes from the Estevan Lacrosse Association were at field lacrosse provincial competitions last month.

In the junior division, Tanner Hall and Kersey Hollingshead were part of the Regina Royals A team. Hall scored twice and added an assist for the Royals, while Hollingshead had seven goals in seven games.

Kaden Chrest was a busy player. Joining the 18U Regina Reign and the 18U Regina Royals, he played five games with the Reign, scoring three times. He had six goals and six assists in seven games for the Royals. Chrest was named a first-team all-star midfielder at provincials.

Chase Foord scored three goals in six games with the 18-and-under Saskatoon Guardians.

Players from younger divisions appeared at provincials, including Bennett Day of Carnduff and Cameron Mildebrandt of Estevan, and had strong showings.

The Estevan Lacrosse Association has plans to further expand the field game for the 2022 season, said president Braydon Krahn. There are currently opportunities for winter camps through partnerships with Weyburn lacrosse.

Estevan lacrosse is having its awards night and annual general meeting on Nov. 20. Awards this year will be by invite only due to COVID restrictions, but parents and players will be welcome to join in via Facebook Live and Microsoft Teams.

Estevan Lacrosse is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers. Phone Krahn at 306-461-6577 or email president@estevanlacrosse.com for more information.
