Ben Rumpel of the Weyburn Junior High curls his way over the bar in the high jump as he sets a new record for the midget boys category, at the Pre-District Track Meet hosted by the Comp on Thursday.
The record was previously 1.5 metres, and Rumpel ended up clearing 1.62 m in this jump to set the new record.
He attempted to make 1.65m, but was unable to clear it in three attempts.
The top athletes from this meet advance to the District Track Meet, to be held on Friday, May 27, at the Comp field.
