Weyburn Soccer Association will begin their spring soccer season on Monday evening.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to welcome all of our new families and of course all of our dedicated families who have supported us through the years,” said WSA president Jason Roy.

Soccer begins on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. for the girls program and Tuesday night for the boys.

“We are still following COVID-19 guidelines. For now only one parent per field, but if you have two kids on two different fields, both parents can watch. Younger siblings are allowed to attend with the one parent, but they must remain social distant from others,” said Roy, explaining some of the restrictions that are currently in place.

“WSA is just excited that we will be back in the Park for spring soccer. Our season will start with an individualized style of training and will adjust our programs throughout as regulations change,” he added.

The position of the fields have changed to accommodate foot traffic and promote physical distancing. The WSA will have members around the park to answer any questions or get parents to the correct field.
